My son insisted that he be in the video and I know its ridiculous and hard to tell what I am doing...but from what you CAN see...am I doing the "its your choice" training the right way with rogue? how is she doing? I know there are a bit of distractions...but she seems to do amazing to me for her first time.thanks.

Just read up on "its your choice training" - guess i have been doing a modification of that anyway.
I would think that as soon as your dog performs whatever you are looking for then immediately mark/reward. After he appears to get it you might increase the length of time before the reward.

More importantly - just wanted to say your son is going to be a movie star - !

HAHA thank you
I want to eventually get to the point where I can put treats on their noses or paws without them taking it until I say a command or giving it to them. Problem is...I dont know when to transition to the next step and I dont really know what the next step would be.
Any ideas?

I use that and the leave it command. The hardest part is placing the treat on their nose without them knocking it down. The paws are easy... The nose is super hard. Just keep their focus on you and gradually wait longer before rewarding. The leave it command lets them know not to touch a placed treat (wherever it may be). To get it on their paws or nose, train closer and closer to the area. Others might have a better idea but this is just how I got my girl to do it.

Will the leave it command also help with them snatching food? Like out of hands and off counters? or is that a whole other can of worms?
