having a friendly dog is good. i think
you should train your dog around other dogs.

i use to train my dog at the dog park a lot.
i started training in the parking lot. as my dog learned
and i was having more control over him i moved
closer to the dogs. we trained along the fence.
once my dog started listening when we were near the fence
i started going into the going inside
the dog park. now we're inside and the dogs are
all around. some of the dogs are sniffing him and trying
to get him to play. while we're in the park we'll do
some on and off leash training. after that it's his time to play.

Get far enough away that you work with her. If she is too close she will be what is called "over threshold". She needs to calm enough that you can get her attention.

MaggieRoseLee (I think) posted a video in another thread on this very topic. If I have a brainstorm about where it is, I'll post the link here.
