Engagement harness

Hello. I recently bought and viewed the leerburgs raising a working puppy. I'm nearly sure in the building engagement section they done work with a harness. A helper would hold the pup on a harness and Michael Ellis would walk away and call the pup. The helper would only release the pup after a few seconds of pulling.

What I would like to know is what is an appropriate age to start this training and what size harness would be suitable?

This Schutzhund training site has some suggestions:

Schutzhund-Training.com - Raising a Puppy

Also since you have purchased the Leerburg video, I would suggest emailing Leerburg to ask what type of harness is used and what age for a puppy.
This is their web page to ask a question:

The reason the harness is used is to build frustration and desire. The harness is better for pulling whereas collars may deter a young puppy. Use the cheap-o-Depot harnesses from Walmart or petco because he'll outgrow them quickly. Once he's older you can move him to a higher quality leather agitation harness.
