7 weeks old

This is our 1st puppy this young. 9 years ago we had a puppy die from parvo. The vet segested we Not take our new 7 week out outside until he has had all this parvo shots. We are training him to us pee pad right next to the back door. He does great when it's just him and I but when the kids get home he is to excited to go on the pad. For now he is inside all the time. At what age did ya'll start training your puppy's outside?

Hi and welcome to the forum. Do you have your own yard? I would call your vet and ask exactly what he meant by not taking him outside, he may have meant not to take him to a dog park, out on walks outside your own yard, etc.. Not taking him outside your house at all could really be setting yourself up for some difficulty in housebreaking him.

It's normal for a seven week old to play, eat and sleep. They're still babies at that age.
