My 1 year old male doesn't play very well with other animals. Could anyone give me a few tips for getting him to stop fighting with other pets?

Containment. Stop letting him play with other dog off leash.

Do any of these other animals live with him?

There's an aggessive dog in our training class. The trainer keeps it on lead and as we walk in a large circle on heel that dog stays in the middle. (Sometimes she walks in the circle too) When the dog growls or lungers or acts like she will she gets a firm leash pop and the "LEAVE IT!" command. After three classes she is doing much better. She mostly is handled by the trainer for the entire class though.

3 cats. But all of our friends have dogs, and I would like to have them all play together.
