Little brag today

Hi. New to forum but have been following for awhile. Self training my Mal to track following Glen Johnson program. Today was day 3 and we work 20-40-80 yard tracks. After first track was done we move 200 yards to start the second set. I realized I had dropped my leather gloved I was using for the article. Finished 2nd and 3rd track using spare glove. Then went headed back to truck. Thought what the heck I will have Sasha try the first track again to find it. By now the first track is 30 minutes old and no food drops on it. Put her down at the start and told her to "Find It". She did an awesome job and tracked it 140 yards. She did some quartering but needless to say I was impressed. Just had to tell someone who would understand my excitement. Enjoy all help the from the more experienced on this site. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Congratulations and Welcome! Sounds like you have a well trained dog...when I ask my boy to find his ball, he looks at me as though I am speaking a foreign language, then goes in all dieections looking for it. "Someday" I tell myself! How old is your girl? And, pictures are a requirement for newbies!

We're looking to start tracking with Kona. I'm torn between Sil Sanders' book: Enthusiastic Tracking or Glen Johnson's: Tracking Dog....

Anyone have any advice/input?
