I searched for so long to find a puppy who would be oversized *slightly*(not a Shiloh!)..... but was NOT deliberately bred to be large. Meaning, the breeder prioritized working ability, temperament, nerves, health-- but just happened to have a stud who produced the same large size as himself.
Grimm is currently 27" tall and around 90 lbs. He will fill out and broaden considerably in the coming year and a half. His father is a muscular 111 lbs. Czech lines are often very muscular and heavy-boned with wide heads and builds, but they can be below standard, within, or above.
