Kefir addict

It is the third day into making Kefir and boy, I didn't know how much I missed my daily glass of Kefir. Back in Germany I used to drink it a lot and not only in the morning. I felt instantly better as if my body was saying "Thank you."

Anyhow, I've got another addict in the house and her name is MaDeuce. She is crazy for Kefir and this morning she literally jumped onto the kitchen counter to lick out the bowl.

I mainly bought it for Indra, because of her PF and she gets it into her food but having a true addict like MaDeuce changes everything. Guess I'm going to have to have to ferment enough milk so the whole Pack (and I) can benefit from that white gold.

It won't take long. That stuff just grows and grows and grows!

Oh yeah, one or two weeks and I've got enough for the dogs and I, and can start giving it away.

Interesting, my mum used to make it in germany but I've never tried it?? Does it taste like yoghurt?
I just did some reading up and it says it's tolerated by lactose intolerant people - may be worth a try

I love kefir, but never thought about making it myself. Maybe I'll look into it.

We do not make it, but buy it. We drink it and give it to the dogs all the time!
