How do these 6 month old hips look?

My 6 month old has panosteitis and my vet wanted to confirm by doing xrays. While my boy was asleep the vet xrayed his hips as a favor since he was already out. The vet thinks they look good but I was curious what you all thought and what his preliminary hip rating might be if I submitted them. Thank you for taking the time.

Your boy still has a lot of growing to do, but I think they would pass. The right leg isn't turned in as much as the left, which makes the right hip look to be not as well seated in the socket as the left. Ideally, sockets could be a bit deeper, but the ball joints look to be well seated, with no excess space or looseness (subluxation).

Of course, I'm not used to looking at hips from dogs this young, so I could be wrong...

Thanks so much Sunsilver! My last shepherd ended up with bad hips so glad to see this guy is at least starting out pretty good. The vet didn't do the xray for OFA submission but I see what you are saying regarding the right leg not being turned as much. Thanks again!
