Hip X-rays: Bad vs Good positioning

I recently took my 12 month old Shikoku male in for X-rays due a intermittent, but recurring limp.

So while I didn't find a cause (hips and knees are fine), I did find out that my vet takes good hip x-rays. He didn't like the positioning in the first set and so he took the second set without prompting and also went into detail when explaining the x-rays.

Just sharing these to show the difference that the positioning alone can make.
