8 months old hips X-RAY

Hi, my dogs been limping and l'm jumping from one thread to another. He is booked with an ortho vet next Friday but l cant help drive myself mad until. Its the elbows we are worried about but the vet also said that his hips are loose. But said not to worry as hes still growing.

Want your opinion on the hips. Its been taken when he was 7 months old last month.

Also the long bones thats attached to the hips are in a bow shape why is that? All hip xrays I've seen on the forum show those legs pretty straight?
Ill attach a link for the photo

He is at the age where pano is a possibility. That can cause the limping too.

Thank you. He is not responding to anti inflamatory meds and not showing discomfort when examined on the long bones. So we are thinking probably not pano. Also he is a highdrive puppy and been playing fetch and jumping around so i am thinking that has got something to do with it just hope it is something fixable.

Wanted opinions on the hips because now remembering the vet mentioning them not being perfect - apparently l'm after more stuff to worry myself about.

The hips look okay based on the pic. The legs are rotated a bit, but he has decent coverage of the femoral head and no remottling. I would be surprised if these were the issue.

That said I was always trained that you treat the dog not the X-rays.

My bet is a muscle strain or a knee issue.

+1 or connective tissue.
After OFA X-rays and CT scan, I found a comprehensive physical exam to be the best diagnostic.

Thank you guys. I also wondered why he has bowed legs when all the other xrays i saw showed straight legs.

I have a feeling that his problem is shoulder but might be elbow. Hope doesnt need surgery! Wish i could fast forward the time.
