Questionable hips

Our bitch (22 mths) just got spayed and the vet x rayed her hips while she was under. I wanted them checked before I did any running with her. She's been on less than 10 short beach runs with me since she was just over a year and due to being reactive to other dogs is mostly lead exercised.
The vet left a message today saying the ball fits into the socket nicely but the right one is slightly flattened. He went on to say she would be fine to do normal exercise but nothing more.

I'll get more detail from him on Monday and I'm going to ask if I can have the x ray but I'm really worried now. One of the reason we chose a GSD was because I go out running on my own and I wanted a canine running partner to join me and keep me safe. I'm really gutted.

Does anybody know what he means by slightly flat?

the ball of that fit's into the hip socket is being rubbed flat. It's not round. I believe that's what they mean.

My dog has left HD. I was told he can swim, job and hike, but no forced running. If he runs on his won while playing it would be ok.

I would ask your vet. She may be ok to run still.
