X ray???

Attlas' Hips X-Ray
Hi everyone,

Attlas, my 2.5 year old male, had his hip x-rayed today. Results were pretty good and a little confusing. No HD but his right joint (socket) was a little shallow and no arthritis according to the vet. I could barely notice any difference on the film.

The vet advised putting him on Dasuquin. Does this sound like the right thing to do? Can a joint be a little shallow and there be no HD? Is it ok to put Attlas on Dasuquin as a preventative measure?

I would say yes to putting him on something like dasuquin as a maintenence , it won't 'prevent' things, if they happen they happen, but it won't hurt to supplement him.

Swimming is good for muscle tone, and keep him lean..

It would be odd for a two and a half year old to how no arthritic changes if he was dysplastic.
But Dasuquin is a good ortho health supplement.
