People in your organisation are doing an outstanding effort, when you spend so much time and money to help others. Volunteerism is important but not always well appreciated.
We get paid for search for presumed-dead people, not when we search for missing people, but expences are covered. We are not an large organisation, maybe 300 certified dogs, and not all are operative. The main reason I do this is because I love to train and work with dogs, and it is more reasonable to lay that effort in saving lives than just for point in a competition.

I'm confused because they were talking about on a different thread from a while back how LE would take a fixed male but PD would not . If LE stands for law enforcement, does PD stand for patrol dog or police dog ? If patrol dog, do they mean border security or police patrol dog ? I was confused , aren't they all the same ?
