Awesome use of human and canine partnership. Thank you for your service, volunteering, whatever, all the work, preparation and training, as well as keeping dogs in excellent shape and risking them for people you don't know. Well done!

And if there were moments that you realize you maybe should have done something differently, remember that we learn more from our mistakes than from our successes and each of these experiences make you that much better for what is to come. And maybe in the future, when a victim is not already passed, and every moment counts, this experience will save a life.

Thanks everyone..

Selzer, you are so right.. But I prefer making mistakes in training, lol.. You brought up great points on what it takes to keep the dogs in great form and mission ready.. It is both exhausting and wonderful and while I may be a SAR volunteer, I always have the utmost respect for others doing the same.. Including the paid units like LE or military.. Keeping the team, dog and handler sharp and ready for any callout requires alot on all ends... But the rewards, being a part of helping someone either in life or in closure for a family, is very much worth it.. Thanks

Again thank you for all your hard work I do wish people could get paid for this. I do realize helping someone far exceeds monetary gain but would make life easier. What would the world be without people and your dogs in it. It does make people fear safer.

Thanks Jenny... It would be nice but becomes problematic.. Who pays? State, county? Government? Then, national standards have to be set (we are trying to get those, but since it is volunteer, there are variances, although most certifying agencies are pretty close to same), then what is the pay range? As this is volunteer, do ground pounders get what technical rooes/mountaineers get,? K9 handler's have extra expenses etc... I love the idea, but the problems make it exponentially difficult...

But donations are always accepted and appreciated, be it gear, gas card and for us trailers... People to lay trail is worth their weight in gold, LOL I have postings all around my city for trail layers haha.. It is the trail layers who really train the dog, at least odor wise..
