We were stroke by a 8.9 earthquake followed by a tsunami.

While damaged bridges, cut highways and lack of communication prevented me from physically joining my team (I had no trained dog yet) Auka, the dog I had previously prepared and left with a new handler, so my consolation is to think she was there as my contribution to help.

Here is a short video to honor those dogs.

A beautiful tribute to the courageous search and rescue dogs and their handlers.

So sad.. I look at the destruction and wonder where would one start.. Dogs are truly amazing animals!
