New Raff Pics--Training in the Park!

Took Raff to the park this afternoon for his training session. He's got naturally good focus, but as he enters adolescence, his attention isn't always on mommey.

He did much, much better than I expected. We've been doing a lot of engagement work at home and at the club and it's paying off.

That's mostly what we worked on today, in a very distracting environment.

Awww. What's keeping you from getting a puppy? Raff was so easy. He housebroke with minimal effort and has never destroyed anything. He also keeps his mouth where it belongs.

Wife and I don't want the puppy picking the bad car behavior from Remi. I can't have 2 dogs that have car antics. My wife would prefer a different breed (even though she loves Remi more than anything). She would prefer an easier breed. I like the intensity of the breed and I like how he is very alert most of the time. So, for now, Remi is it.

Bad car behavior? That's what crates are for! We just bought the crash proof kind for the van. According to test results, it's the only one that stayed intact during a crash.

Hope you can eventually work it out and get your puppy. My husband was adamant that we didn't need three dogs, even though that's what we've had ever since I sold my kennel. He ultimately caved and we adopted Lexi from this board--great decision. He adores her. You just never know.
