Raff had a good day at training--he just loves to be there. He gets to see people, which makes him very happy, especially the guy who plays tug with him. And our trainer was there, whom he also adores--he plays tug, too.
It was cold out for the humans, we were all bundled up in lots of layers. The dogs all loved it, though. They were all extra bouncy. Even Raff, normally calm and methodical on his scent pad, got a little hectic. He still did very well, though.
His obedience was stellar! Raff learns quickly and his food drive is insatiable so he's pretty easy to train. We've spent a lot of our time on focus. He also knows how to sitz and platz as well as a nice recall which got tested today when he decided to go explore the field on his own.
He's got the right balance if independence/dependency. He's independent enough to go out on the send away eventually and be fine, but dependent enough to want to please. At home, he will go off and play with a toy quietly by himself (so much for those crazy WLs) for a few minutes, then come back to me for hugs and kisses, repeat as often as necessary.
Our helper had a new puppy toy--hopefully, you can see it in the sorta blurry pic. Hubby is working on getting better action shots. Raff loved it--even did a little somersault to get to it--that's commitment to the bite for you.
All in all, it was another very good training day, brought to us by our good friends at Weberhaus.
