SE Regionals next weekend!

Who's is going? Who's competing? Who's spectating?

It's been non stop rain here... Weather says 2 more inches in next few days. What do you do if the tracking looks like this? I'm presently working towards training adverse and dynamic tracking conditions (changes mid track, difficulty from asphalt to lush grass, etc). How do you train for disaster?

Yeah, I am going as a spectator. We have a dog from the Fayetteville club doing a 3 so I will be there in support. To me those tracking conditions would be a night mare! We track in the rain and in the wind but have never tried it in the mud!

I've lost many shoes in pluff mud here in the southern US.

try finding your articles in that!!! I had to track in a hayfield once like that....you could not tell it was mostly standing water until you got going...we did lose one article, even the tracklayer could not find it after the track...Kyra was the only dog who passed tracking that day in those fields (sch1s tracked on higher ground across road and it was not in standing water/mud). I think we got an 87 or 89 - and High Sch3, High Tracking, High Protection and High in Trial....LOL I think every other dog in the trial but one failed...it was a miserable day!

Practice in something similar if you can and see if the dog is deterred.
