Working behind fence

So since Dooney has trouble grabbing the tug and running around with it, the trainer decided to move us behind a fence today and try it. She did really good, went for the tug, held onto it and ran around in her happy little circles. So he said we will do that for the next few sessions.

She actually did pretty well in her OB, she had some really good focus today. Best part of my day is when the trainer holds her while I go clear across the field and give the "Come" command- My girl tears up the ground trying to get to me!! Now to just get her to stop in front of me WITHOUT kicking up all of the dirt all over me- hahaha. I will post pics and some video later!!

She did MUCH better when the fence was there. Once she learns to grab and hold the tug... she will be awesome! She's getting there!

Ed said he's doing that with Duke next week... with the pillow. It's time to start the transition to the sleeve. He thinks the fence will help Duke take that step over his "mental barrier" that blocks him from taking the pillow and sleeve. I think it will.
