How we rescued Duke

Hi all, I did a search on Google on how to clean my Duke's ears, and I found this forum..I wanted to tell you about Duke's story, At 6 months old, Duke was tied to a picnic table in a park in Ottawa , A lady who was in that park during her vacation saw the puppy tied to the table on her way into the park, and a few hours later on her way out he was still there, On the table was a bag of dog food, and under the bag, an envelop with vet records and breeder info..So, this lovely lady took the dog home with her to Montreal, where she posted an ad on Kijiji..I was browsing through Facebook one day, and I came across a cross post from Kijiji, I fell in love with him at the first glance, We had owned 2 GSD's before, and they were always our favorite breed..So, I contact this lovely lady in Montreal and tell her I would love the dog, I told her we live in the country, I have a horse boarded at my inlaws farm with 300 acres of land and a camp next door with 30 acres of land, I tell her the dog would be very happy with us, So, she gave him to me, I jump in the car with my mom, and drive 22 hours to and from Montreal to get my beautiful puppy, He turned 2 on June 22nd, and he is the best dog we have ever had..He loves the horses, my 3 cats, and my other dog Mishka, and camping with us in our RV, he goes everywhere with us, he is a huge part of our family ..Thanks for taking the time to read Duke's story

Thanks for sharing your story, Duke was a lucky boy, first to be found by the lady and then by you. So many bad things could have happened to him being left there like that. Thank you for giving him a forever and loving home and I bet together you will make many wonderful memories together.

What a great story! Duke had a lot of guardian angels looking over him to make sure he found the perfect home!
