Hope this is the proper forum for Tucker updates? (Please move if needed?)

Tucker is a boy I took in when he was 9 months and facing going to a shelter. He had lived outside and had no manners, lol. He was the biggest dog challenge I'd had... Anyway, much too long of a story to re-hash here.. but so many of you have been so supportive of him, so many of you helped me out so much as things went along... and so many of you also seemed to have a really vested interest in this boy, that I wanted to start a thread on his new life with his new family. (orig story: https://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...d-shelter.html )

I couldn't write this before now because it hurt too much. Couldn't hardly look in the corner where his crate had been. Felt my heart dump every morning when he wasn't here. Consumed with worry over whether I'd chosen the right family. Depressed.

I think I can finally talk about it now. I miss him SO MUCH still, but I'm coming to the conclusion that it had to be done. Not just because my males were having issues, but because no one was getting enough time. My other male, Bailey, is so much happier -- it is obvious. He's getting "his" time. His resource guarding is gone. Still hurts, though.

Just looking at that boy and him. No doubt you did the right thing for you, Tucker, Bailey and that family.

Excellent job as much as it hurts.

Hey, Chelle, you rescued Tucker from a terrible fate.
Then you worked with him and found him an awesome home.
You helped a family get a very nice dog.
That should make you feel really good, and this should be in the brags section.

Ok, rescue stories is ok too.

I'm proud of you chelle. I know it was one of the hardest things you'll ever do in your life. Thanks for letting us know how Tucker is doing, and great pics to prove it too!
