? About puppy stage

I have a 8 week old puppy brought him home yesterday, he s played a little bit here and there, not super active , slept some time during the day.....is this normal?

Hi, yes this is completely normal, he is still a baby at this age and they sleep most of the day. Enjoy it while you can, it doesn't last long. Concentrate on getting him settled in and start his potty training, be gentle, he is probably missing his mom and and litter.

If your puppy is healthy he should eat then sleep then potty then sleep then potty then eat and so on. Playing will come bitting will be next.

Smarter than me.....but that's not saying much.

@Gabesnow ....as I recall with the 3 I've had over the years......those first few days were somewhat exaggerated......between levels of exploring, adjusting, romping about.... and then there was that switch that went off where the pup could almost fall over in their tracks and take a snooze......I have a suspicion that things will change to a more "active" level in short order.....
