Hey Guys. So recently (the past 2 weeks) my 4.5 month old GSD names Ranger does not eat right away in the morning. As soon as I get up at 6:45am, I take him out of his crate and give him his food. 30 minutes later he actually starts eating it and finishes it all. The same thing happens at noon and then at dinner time around 6pm. I was told I should switch him to just eating twice a day. However, my Vet and breeder told me to wait until he hits 6 months to switch to two meals. So currently he is still on 3 meals a day. Now just 2 days ago and today, my puppy woke up in the morning, went to the bathroom, and didnít eat like usual. But this time he threw up twice. Then he signaled to go outside again. He pooped, came back in, and ate his whole breakfast. This routine has happened twice in one week so far and Iím wondering why he is throwing up? I should mention his poops are normal, heís very playful, and he acts normal with other dogs and people. Itís nust the throwing up in the morning that is stumping me. Thanks for your help in advance!

Since otherwise your 4.5 month pup is feeling fine, I think it may have to do with teething or some tummy acid. Feeding a small snack before bedtime may help.

It's it yellowish with white foam? It's just bile. They produce too much stomach acid and sitting all night can lead to too much and they throw it up to get rid of the excess

My pup had the same issue. What I would do is feed a 1/2 cup of dry within an hr of going to bed. That seemed to usually help

What I've recently started to do is push dinner back from 5pm to about 7pm. I then give a 1/2 cup dry for breakfast since she doesn't have too much of an appetite in the mornings recently
