Vital Essentials

Wanting to switch my 3 mo old to raw. He was on Iams with the breeder switched him to Acana mixed with small amounts of frozen raw w/o any issues except he poops 3-4 times a day all normal but.......I was thinking of morning kibble, eve raw. Has anyone done this or just all raw?

I’ve done half raw/half kibble in the past with no issues. It comes down to what you feel most comfortable with (as long as the raw is balanced).

Train the dog in front of you.

I've fed Vital Essentials 5# chubs (beef, complete diet). We also use THK base mix and plain beef, but no kibble. My dog loves VE over just about any other form of raw (it has tripe in it, so I'm guessing that's what makes it "special" to him).

VE did just have a recall, so keep an eye on that.

The recall was on the freeze dried beef nuggets.
