Help me understand the Raw Vs Kibble diet for puppies..

Hi Every one,

So next tuesday, I am getting my pup!

my previous buddy ( Max ) he was given the best available kibble all his 9 years of life :*( ( Orijen ) however, this time around, I feel I am ready for commercial raw.

However, I am not too sure about feeding raw to my puppy - he will be 8 weeks , 1 day next tuesday

Even although I am going to be feeding him a commercial raw food, I am not sure if the diet will be enough, enough nutrient for a fast growing GSD pup!

I believe that kibble still has some science behind them and they probably have spent millions in R&D in some of the available products, at the same time, after doing much research I feel I am ready for raw.

I guess I am just a tad bit concerned in the nutrient values of feeding raw so early in life?

just wondering..

I can't advise you but I'm sure someone with raw experience will chime in soon!

Commercial raw, as long as it is "complete and balanced", needs to meet the same nutrition standards as kibble to be given the AAFCO seal of approval. Just make sure the commercial raw product you pick is suitable for puppies/all life stages. Very smart to do commercial raw while your puppy is growing! At least you'll know he'll be getting everything he needs. Good luck!

A commercial raw is a fool proof way to ensure the puppy gets all the nutrients he needs while growing while giving all the benefits of a raw diet.

You can also use the time to check out suppliers, make contacts, and research deals
