Protection Tournament

Saturday, February 20th, 8 AM Registration
1500 Big Town Shopping Ctr Mesquite TX 75149

Levels to choose:
Beginners
Intermediate Level
Advanced Level
l
Beginners Level entry fees: $35.00
Regulation: Handler must use leash ,flat or prong collar allowed. Dogs do not need to know an out command.
This level have 3 different bite scenarios all involves prey bites and arm/target presentation.
Intermediate level entry fees: $45.00
Regulation: Handler must use a leash ,flat or prong collar allowed. Dogs do not need to know an out command.
This level have 4 different bite scenarios testing your dog ability to:
Switch drive from playing to defend
Guarding your car
Test of Nerve
Passive bite.
Advanced Level: Entry fees $55.00
Regulation: No leash or any collar on the dog. Dogs must have an out for it will be judged.
All surprise scenarios
This level will have obedience incorporated into bite work.
Obedience included:
Attention heel
Jumping over a hurdle
Going through a tunnel
Retrieve an object
Call off
Transport
Bite work includes:
Passive bite
Directional bite
Environmental pressure bite
Hardest hitting contest
Entry fees: $10.00
Regulation: Decoy in suit standing still facing the dog with either forearm or bicep presentation. Only first place trophy will be award in this contest.
Fastest recall contest
Entry fees: $10.00.
Winner in each category will win the purse
Herder group : Mal, GS, Doberman
Bull group: Dogs that have a big head like a bull dog.smile emoticon
Regulation:
No greyhounds allowed
Time will be taken by 2 keepers. Will take the average of the 2.
About 50 yards track, you can have someone hold the dog at the start line or you can put your dog in a stay. As soon as a word comes out from the handler the time will start and end when the dog reach the finish line.
