? On BN

Hi,
I plan on going for BN title but read rules and it states can only enter that class if you have never obtained akc titles on any other dog. Is this true? I have gotten a CD on my dog that passed quite a few years ago. I just want to enter to see how he does and for exposure to trialing

You just have to enter the B class of everything. You can't go in A class for BN or novice once you've already gotten a CD with a previous dog.

Yes, you would have to enter Beginner Novice B.

This is the link to the AKC's obedience and rally A/B eligibility chart. http://cdn.akc.org/Obedience/Events_..._Obedience.pdf

I read that if u have already put a CD on any dog you have to enter in Novice B even though it’s a diff dog. Am I correct?

Yes. You only get one Novice A dog.

Train the dog in front of you.

Thank you. Going to do novice. I wanted beginner just to see how he is at a trial etc.
Lots of rule changes for Akc so need to read up get a couple run throughs. Ozzy is pretty solid in Novice but I may mess him up. Been at least 9 yrs since I stepped in an akc ring
