Can I teach 2 male dogs to go in the same place?

Long story short:

I have an 11 year old male dog that I got at 5 years old. He does not have a specific spot that he goes in. I would need to train him to use one spot, but he is pretty trainable.

I also have a 10 month old GSD that I have had since 7 weeks. He primarily was used to going in one spot, but I picked a dumb spot so he killed the grass and I have changed that spot. He is fairly good about going where I tell him to go.

I have noticed that they do not go in the same spots. Can I designate a spot and train both of them to go there?

I think dogs want to go in their own spots. It has to do with their marking and scent. Or they want a clean spot. I noticed my Sting will use different areas in the backyard.
