Jumping Tricks

First thing I would like to ask you guys.. would you ever teach a GSD to jump over your back or arms? I am afraid of it not being pretty safe... anyways

I have been having problems on teaching my dog to jump over my arms. Like he knows he has to jump, but doesn't raise his back legs up enough to jump.I find myself being scratched all the time. I have tried start at the lowest level possible, but it doesn't seem to work! Should I just give up on this trick?

Here is the video I followed to do this trick How to train your dog to jump over your arms - YouTube

Thanks guys!

Are you clicking at the right time? Are you using a ball so the dog can really jump over and away with some power? Only clicking when he does NOT touch your arm???? (if you are using a clicker and started clicking when he jumped AND touched your arm at the same time, he may have learned that he's SUPPOSED to touch you on the way over).

Hahaha! The warning of being head butted on the second video was so funny! That happened to me, and wow it hurt!

You know I will try again training this. It could be that I accidently click when he was touching me. I will let you know how it goes! Thanks!
