When Bodie alerts to strangers at the door, I've been teaching him the quiet command to get him to stop barking. He does stop, but he's still on alert and growls quietly (this only happens when he thinks he hears people at the door but there's no one there, if there are actually people at the door, he gets deliriously happy and tries to love on them). Is there a way to teach him that "quiet" means "mom's got it under control, so you can relax and stop barking"?
