Thanks, he is beautiful and I can definitely see the resemblance. His female litter mates have more black on the face like yours. Of course it's ever changing.

He does look a bit a girl though.

On topic:

I used to get worried before when I had my first GSD puppy. They go up eventually. It's actually very rare in pure bred GSD to have floppy ear. Now I focus on training early like heel, sit, down, stay, stand, fetch etc. My puppy knows all these commands already but he still sometimes get distracted when he sees something new. Also, make sure the aggression and possession is fixed early on because it can become very difficult to control as they age. My puppy for once growled when he was chewing a bully stick. I corrected it on the spot.

Oh yes, not my first rodeo. I’ve got all those commands down as well. Heel is the most impressive. He’s been doing it for three weeks. My heel is a come and a circle at the right knee, sit and look up. On cue.

Socialization, exposure and correction are so important in the first 4 months.

Bit of an update. Both ears went down right after I started this thread. They were really down. However they are showing signs! He can definitely get them up a few times a day, but as you can see, the base is firm and they are starting to rise!

At this age, our puppies look almost identical.
Mine is 36lbs now at 15 weeks.

How about yours?
