8 week puppy vs. 13 week puppy

Hello everybody,
Provided everything goes well with the breeder I will be getting my 2nd german shepherd this Sunday. The breeder and I have spoke via phone/internet regarding the puppy and if I like what I see in person we will be going forward with the sale! Now, my other GSD was taken home at 8 weeks old and this puppy will be 13 weeks old. I'm wondering what differences I should expect between my two puppies. What is your preferred age to bring home a puppy?

Congratulations! My last two came home @4 months of age. It worked out nice as both were potty trained and had some OB work already. They also had a little size on them making it a little easier letting them interact with our 2 older females.

As long as you have a great breeder and they've been doing the necessary socialization/early training, that is a GREAT age!

Well on the way to being crate trained/housebroken plus lots of early training!
