Repairing dead grass

Have 2 GSD’s and really haven’t had any major issues with dead grass from going to bathroom until this spring. Both are females, healthy and drink plenty of water (water always available).

Any recommendations on repairing current dead grass spots and/or preventing this in the future?

Not sure how to repair burnt grass. For prevention, train your dogs to eliminate in only one area away from the lawn.

I yank it out and use sod.
I also changed where he goes, to an area not quite so visible.
I have heard that you can pour a gallon of water where the dog just peed, but this proved both inconvenient and ineffective.

I gave up on grass and covered the yard with a good layer of cedar hog fuel.
