My grandpa was an elementary dropout. He made it to 5th grade and then went to work with his dad; placing basalt boulders on river banks against erosion. I learned very important life lessons from him about acceptance, diversity, being non- judgmental and to look at life with humor. He taught me about nature, how to watch and observe wild life and his favorite breed, the GSD. Too bad he didn't live forever. He was smarter than many people who 'made it big'.
