Teaching Newlie To Play Basketball!

OK, I bought one of those basketball sets for little kids and it was delivered today. So, I slapped it together and I started teaching Newlie to play basketball. I can't wait to take a video, it is so cute! Right now though, I don't have a free hand, one hand is holding the treats (kibble) and the other is pointing to the basket and telling Newlie to drop it in. He did real good for the first night, but I don't know how I am ever going to teach him to dribble, lol.

Can't wait to see the video! Sounds like great fun...

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. Mark Twain

Dribble? Isn't the first step in GSD basketball is to burst the ball?

Yes, that is why we are playing with his new spikey purple ball instead of the tiny little "basketball" that came with the set. So that we have a reasonable chance of getting it through the hoop just once before he destroys it!

Today, Newlie made something like 10 out of 12 baskets so a video is not far behind. I really should have taken a video a day or two ago because he missed like seven or eight times trying to get one basket. We looked like Abbot and Costello.
