Dad looks to be working line, and nicely built, too!

Can't say about mom, because the picture is at a bad angle for seeing her structure. From the colour, she could be American show lines. German working lines are usually black or sable, and their show lines are black and red. ASL lines are usually black and tan, like her.

did you get a pedigree ?

names would allow you to hone in much better than appearance, however by appearance they look to be American
bred lines .

Unlike the west German show lines there is a great diversity for colour enjoyed by American show line breeders . Sables and blacks and black and tans , not the wgsl's signature "black and red" .

That retractable leash makes me cringe... The stud's feet look weak to me (in the picture)

Mother doesn't look ASL to me at all, looks more pet line. There are pet lines around here that look like Dad as well.

Over the years I have had lovely randomly bred GSDs in my(pet dog) classes. Most were young. Have a neighbor who bought the first puppy from CL: mellow, no problems at all until....he got to be 7 years old and is now crippled with early arthritis, itchy skin and bad hips.

I agree, that is why I said " however by appearance they look to be American

a few generations of casual breeding -- which means not particularly informed or critical

People can only guess without a pedigree. The male looks pretty healthy to me. I don't see anything wrong with his feet other than he's standing on the ribs of the bed liner.

Op, congratulations, enjoy playing and training with your pup!
