Choosing a puppy

I went to go look at a GSD puppy the other day and one of the puppy's had no hair on the tip of his tail and on one of his paws. Could this mean that the litter could be a unhealthy one? I want to get a healthy puppy but not sure how to know if it is. Please help

I suggest you look elsewhere . As this article explains it could be fleas:

Hi General and WELCOME!

Agree with Mary Beth. I would pass on this pup.

The most important thing is........research, Research, RESEARCH!

There are many qualified people here that could help find the "right" puppy for you!

A little info will help!

*What "Type" of German Shepherd are you looking for? Show-line, Working line? (Explains "Type":
http://www.germanshepherdguide.com/german-shepherd-types.html)

*What activities or sports do you plan on doing with him/her.

*What type of lifestyle do you have that will include the dog?

*Tell a little about yourself/your family!

*What is your price range? (usual is somewhere around $1,600 to $3,000)

*What state are you in and how far are you willing to travel (hours)?

*Are you willing to have a dog shipped?

Here are some good reading materials!

I had the same problem when I first brought my boy home. He had a small streak around his tail just bald. Took him to the vet, she told me that it might be fleas or something (i don't remember) and that she could give me a sample of trifexis once he's of age to see if that may be the issue.

Well, since then, I made sure he didn't bite on his tail and fed him the flea medication that the vet gave me and his tail is completely normal now. I actually forgot that he had the same problem til this post.
