New DOG!!!

As most people know on here I have been looking for a rescue. Ok so obviously my husband has heard more about a new dog in the last month more than anyone. I guess he was trying to be helpful or sweet idk but I am about to crate his tail!! He is bringing home this guy in the morning. Sight unseen, has not met LJ nor our family. UGH...not what I wanted but can I have thoughts and opinions? He looks mixed to me so maybe some insight on that please.

He looks really handsome from what I can tell in the photo. Maybe PB or a dash of a very muscular/heavy boned breed... certain lines of pit bull terrier maybe? I am not very good with PB vs mixed though, and because of my location almost every dog here is mixed with a pit bull breed so I may just be seeing it because of that.

I really hope he is a good fit for your family.

ETA: Maybe even English Bull Terrier, it would make for the head shape (if it isn't just the angle of the photo) and also that he has erect ears 2 erect ear breeds have a much higher chance of ears standing than erect crossed with dropped. Depending on where you are, they are really not an uncommon breed anymore. A lot of Bully people (at least around here) have moved towards them to get around pit bull housing restrictions, etc.

Bull Terrier were my thoughts as well. My husband is bringing him home so no visit for me. I guess this is HIS rescue not mine. Knowing me though I will end up falling in love lol.

I agree there may possibly be some bull terrier in there somewhere. Whatever, he is a very handsome boy.

He is 6 months from what the owner says but things have changed. Originally the owner was looking to rehome him but had a change of heart. That is a relief for me. I do want a rescue but I want to be able to meet the dog for myself and have a choice in the matter. I guess I am just a little controlling lol IMO, my husband was going into this completely blind, I am sure he had good intentions but I don't do things on impulse, especially when it could turn out bad with small children and my LJ.
