Just want to know what others do

What do you to build up the muscles in your gsd's chest? I've been giving Chase long walks and playing tug of war, fetch and just letting him run and it seems to be bliuding up his muscles in his back legs and shoulders and some in his chest

The chest usually comes later. He will have to go through his lanky phase first. He's still a baby and babies don't and shouldn't have big chests. Looking at the photo of his father shows that Chase will have a good chest, he just won't get it until he is an adult.

My breeder said he should have a big chest (the dogs are trained for law) Chase is clearly a pet

I agree and think he will. You just have to wait until he grows up. A lot of the dogs don't fill out until 2 or 3.

More like 1 1/2-2 years, depending on the dog.

One person I know said their gsd started filling out at 10 months and was done by a year and half so I guess it all depends on the dog who knows when Chase will start

I sit back and watch my dogs develop naturally. my youngest had a bigger chest at 1 than my older boy slowly developed by 3.

I let mine develop naturally too. A lot of it is going to be genetics, and the rest is keeping your dog in good physical condition and properly exercised. And then he'll be what he'll be.
