Pit bulls going crazy in the park cop shoots one

Today there was two pitbulls attacking people in the park. The reason I'm posting this because I'm so amazed with the cop. They tried to capture the pit bulls. They gave the pitbulls multiple chances. The only way to slow them down was to put a bullet in the dog leg. I respect the cop for not putting a bullet in the dog skull.

Just to clarify, are you saying it is better for the police to salvage the attacking Pit Bulls than it is to protect and serve the public?

You're putting words into the OP's mouth with a clear intention of starting a second round of drama (after the first such thread got closed). What's the point?

I'm saying I'm glad the police didn't put a bullet in the pitbull head. Take it how you want to.

Asking specifically for clarification translates into putting words into people's mouths? Is telling the truth and documenting it drama? Hardly.

The office displayed an amazing amount of disgression in "not" putting the dogs! I would not be surprised if he was not called on the carpet for doing so??

The owner of the dogs violated one rule "don't raise two puppies at once!" But in as much as these dogs clearly were not trained! Now sure if that is applicable?? So back to basics "some people should not "own" dangerous dogs!

Chipp, I don't think any of that matters here. This would not have happened if they had been properly contained.

This shows how the dog patrol aren't really capable of catching an out of control dog.

Those poles with a rope on them aren't good enough to catch a moving target. They need some kind of net to be more effective.

If they have a mobile fencing they could circle the dogs and lock them in.

Or some one with a tranqualiser rifle.

Fair play to the cop he did neutralize the yellow dog. The black one was more subdued when the yellow one bowed out. He could of killed both and asked questions later. At th end of the day both dogs were captured so I say he did a good job.
