I made a treat bag and a "place" bed for Lyka today. That was pretty fun, and she loves it, warmed my heart.

Despite getting a late start today and being under hoot owl restrictions, not catching the clerk giving me 2 -16" chains instead of the 18" my saw requires, having to cut in an unfamiliar area, I still came home with close to a chord of mostly red fir.

I could of had some tamarack too, but after cutting and attempting to kick it over, we were greeted by a swarm of hornets. They must have been nested in the log I was standing on. I still can't figure out how neither me or Zoe was stung.

I took three baby puppies to the Lake in PA where one of my six year olds live. We had an awesome time. The puppies and the big fellow were having a blast. The pups slept all the way home. They are 9 weeks, and today they got loved on by 4 strangers, went rushing through the woods, saw the lake, and did steps for the first time.

No pictures.

Odie, Joy-Joy
Bear Cub, Hepsi-Pepsi
Cujo2, Karma Chameleon
Ramona the Pest, Kojak -- who loves you baby?
Tiny Tinnie, Susie's Uzzi, Kaiah -- The Baby Monster.

While on a walk through the little shopping center near my house, Molly saw a cat. We are not used to seeing cats here and she started to chase - I couldn't hold on and dropped the leash. She stopped herself at the curb and did not cross the street!

My good: Lyka is terrified of flirt poles. On my help me thread someone mentioned a treat bag to engage the dog. I made it, and she was doing well fetching and bringing it back. Then an idea struck me. I stupidly put some sardines in a Kong for her the other day (which she went bonkers for) but it ruined the Kong and her bed with the smell, couldn't get it out. So it made me think. I put a ton of sardines in the treat bag, tied it to the flirt pole, and she went CRAZY for it. I used it in the yard so I didn't ruin the carpeting, and she chased and caught and chased and caught for well over 30 minutes. Success!!! Finally a good way to exercise her at home :-). I'm
Beyond elated.

GSDSAR, good luck, and I hope they work out!
