Male or female puppy?

I have a three year old male GSD. I am looking into getting another puppy, do you think he would do better with a male or female puppy?

I really don't know but could you look at how your dog interacts with other dogs.
Is he more apt to play with male dogs or female dogs.

Is he more tolerant of one over the other?

Probably, if your dog is dominant, that might factor in to what type of dog you could bring in to your house.

age, breed and temperament aside, the general rule of recommendation is:

male+female = best
male+male = good
female+female = not recommended

TILDEN: Male: Blk/Red LHGSD: DOB: 12/24/06 60lbs of Love
KEYSTONE: Male: Sable: DOB: 2/11/13 60lbs of Go!!!!!

Fodder said it best. Females GSD's are famous for bitch on bitch aggression.

Female, definitely, lowest risk. Good luck on your search.
