The Mrs. and I are looking for a new vacuum as our's isn't keeping up.
Would this vac be a good upgrade at a good price point?

Consumers Reports almost always puts Dyson at the bottom of the list--Maybe you could go online and check out other vacuums and compare--Just saying

That's the one I have at home!! I love it!! I use it every day! I have two GSD and it cleans up hair great! It's a 1.5 old and I have no issues with it at all. I know I paid alot more for mine 1.5 ago. But it!

I have had my Dyson for over 8 yrs and works just as good today as it did straight out of the box. I lug that thing all over the house, up & down the stairs, outside to clean the cars out and it gets the hair up from my German Shedder

Consumer Reports is full of it. Dyson has been highly recommended especially by pet owners. Ours is 6 years old and still good as new. It sucks like no other!

Agreed.

Back when I was a poor, starving college student, I used to sell vacuum cleaners. Part of the sales pitch was to "kill" their current vacuum... I could never kill a Dyson.... and I never sold "my brand" to someone with a Dyson.

I now own a Dyson...

I would assume that part of the price premium is due in part to their branding but a factory refurbed unit for 1/2 price seems like is should be pretty legit.

Consumer reports also wrote an article how they recommend you feed Ol' Roy dog food too.
