The German Shepherd Dog

"The German Shepherd Dog is not best in anything but second best in everything!" - Rittmeister Captain Max von Stephanitz (1864-1936)

I know you must have seen this quote before, I have too - but every once in a while I'm reminded of that in my dog. Not the fastest, not the most intelligent, not the strongest, not the best tracker, not the best jumper, not the best swimmer, not the best retriever etc etc but you know what? He can do/be every one of these things and (for the actions) do them very very well.

I don't know, felt inspired to share the quote...
