Relocating to Oklahoma City

Didn't know where to put this, so if you feel the need to move it, please do.

But my boyfriends career change is requiring us to move to Oklahoma City, I was just curious to see what those of you who live there think of it. Any pros, cons, anything would be greatly appriciated.

was stationed at ft sill no to long go and went there often. not to bad of a city and if i remember right it has a few dog clubs. dont like the weather at all, harsh ice in winter, harsh heat and humming bird sized mesqitos in summer. vary windy almost at all times. i never liked it there but thats my 2 cents which aint worth much. wish i had my dog when i was there i think the have a gsd club.

I like "The City" as it is referred to in Oklahoma. Lots of growing has happened since I lived there in The Village. I had my first job there and our first son was born there, so I have good memories. Had a speedy catamaran on Lake Hefner in my younger days! I was trying to find some use for the wind that blows every day.

I think it is a very livable city. My parents live about 30 minutes north of there. We visit often. I know we have a board member or two who live in "The City".

I live in The City! I love it.

Yes, the summers are brutal. This winter has been very mild though. Tomorrow is supposed to be 60 degrees.

People are friendly. We love college football, and Thunder basketball. There are a lot of lakes here. Downtown we have an area called Bricktown, and a hipster area called the Plaza District. Both are fun!

We have the GSD Club of Oklahoma. We meet up once a week on Tuesday evenings at the Animal Resource Center. Mostly show people, but there are members who do obedience, agility and rally. There are several obedience clubs as well as agility clubs here too.

I'm an army brat and have lived all over, but I love this place.
