Augusta, Georgia - Dog Owner Questions

Hey everybody,

I got a message from a fellow German who will be moving to Augusta, Georgia. With her dog and she is concerned that she can't let him off the leash at all and that life is going to be much harder with the dog.

I was wondering if anyone lives there and can tell me something about the town, where to go to let them off leash, if there are any hiking trails where she can take him off, dog parks, dog clubs, if it is a dog friendly place just to ease her mind.

They already have a house with a garden. So they don't have to worry about renting. However, she's just very worried (sort of like me) because everybody is telling her how bad the dog owners have it.

I have a good dog friend in Augusta. I will ask her, and maybe they can get in touch.

Sweet, that would be awesome.
She has a Cocker Spaniel and is very active with her dog.

Georgia has a ton of fabulous places to take a dog. They should make out really well.

Can you name a couple of places? I went to the Augusta Georgia Website and the Wetlands seem to look great for hiking and the barkpark looks promising too. However, is it mandatory to have them spayed and neutered to go there?
