Like Or Dislike the Name "Sparky"

When my parents and I first got my GSD Zsabo, her name was "Sparky." Do you like or dislike the name Sparky?? Why??

I think it's a stupid name for a GSD but it is okay for, like, a Border Collie or some dog like that.

It's a great name so long as you remember to tell people that your kids named the dog.

Sounds like a cats name to me. Not a strong name for a GSD.

LOL, it's one of Sage's many nicknames (along with Twinkie and Skippy). But as an official name, it sounds more suited to a terrier

When I think of Sparky, I think of The LIttle Rascals dog. Which is weird because I'm having a terrible time thinking of a pit bull named Sparky!

i dont think Sparky works for a GSD. its more for a border collie or some other REALLY high energy cant stop going long enough to breath kind of dogs. I think it would be an interesting name for a malinois though.... dont know why but thats me. Cant always explain me lol

Sounds like a good name for a Dalmatian.

Sounds like a JRT name. I can just picture someone cornered in an alley by thugs telling her big GSD " Go get them Sparky!".

I could not deal with a dog named Sparky, but that's because two very good friends of mine are in the Army signal corps and, therefore, naturally nicknamed "sparky" since they work with radios.

I could see it for a Jack Russell or other little hyper terrier type dog. I don't think it's very fitting for a German Shepherd, though.
