Generally you can double what he weighed at 4 months and that is around the full grown weight. I know that 70-85 # is average full grown weight.

Your pup is about 5.5 months old right now, not 6.5. Anyway, the vet told me at 4 months you can double the weigh and add about 5-10% and you can GUESS at how big they will be when fully mature. There really is no way to tell. Best guess would be to look at the size of the parents but even that doesn't always prove to be true. My pup is 7.5 months old and weighed 74.4lb yesterday. Every dog has different genetics and grows at a different rate but generally speaking, you could use the 4 month weight formula to get a guess of weight at maturity.

Depends alot on how you're feeding as well. You want the pup to grow slowly to minimize stress on the joints, and keep the dog lean.

I don't bother with puppy chow
