Question Apartmentst and GSD's

Ok I have Kola, the now 9 week old pup... We want to move this fall after we get married...

I was wanting to move to Laughlin, NV however at this point I can't find anywhere that allows German Shep. or Huskies and my lil Kola is a mix of both.

Does anyone live, or know of anywhere that allows GSD's?

Contact the local GSD or Husky rescue group. Mine keeps track of the rentals that allow GSDs in Austin.

It doesn't hurt to go in and ask in person about the policy. Over the phone they always say no (maybe corporate will call them to test them sometimes?) but if you go in and speak to the MANAGER they will make an exception!

I recently went in to my own apartment to inquire about the 50 lb weight limit...I told them Rocky could be up to 100 pounds, maybe more (just incase) and the lady had NO problem with it!!!

So now I don't have to move, like the leaser originally said, at the end of my lease.

Yeah!!

Before I found this out I went to about 12 apartments that had breed rules against GSDs, and TWO said they would let it slide if they met him and I was intending on taking him to puppy or obedience class

I have called and asked several apartments... I cant exactly walk in and talk to them because I live in Florida right now.. and we want to move out of state.. and the only other area we are interested in is South Florida near Naples, but we cant just make a 5 hour trip on a hope they might let it slide.
I just dont get it, I dont think there should be breed restrictions at all. I think they should see the dog, and base their opinion on that...especially if you have tons of references for the dog and yourself.

We're buying a house this fall to make it easier on us for finding a place to have all the animals.

That would be a good alternative to apartments.

Thank you all ...
if anyone lives in apartments anywhere is the u.s with a GSD please let me know the name.. they might be managed by a company that has other properties.. or that one might work...
I will try townhomes, and duplexs. We do not want to own a home at all, we like renting.

Cabana beach and bishop square in San marcos have rules but let them slide. They are corporately owned so the owners may have other similar complexes

To each their own, but why would you LIKE to rent? It's just stressful for me...
